Although the government of Leawood Baptist Church is vested in the body of believers who compose it and is not subject to the control of any other ecclesiastical body, it recognizes and sustains the obligations of mutual counsel and cooperation which are common among Baptist churches. Insofar as is practicable, this church will cooperate with and support the Kansas City Kansas Baptist Association, the Kansas-Nebraska Convention of Southern Baptists, the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of Missouri, the Southern Baptist Convention, and the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.
