Parish Nurse on Duty

Sunday, Oct. 19, at 10:15 a.m. and after Worship in the Bride's Room

Have your blood pressure checked and ask health-related questions of one of our Registered Nurses during our once-a-month Parish Nurse Sundays.


Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014 4:00-6:00 p.m.

Bring your little ghouls and gobblins to our parking lot (rain or shine) and let them feast on candies and toys in our members' automobile trunks. Children's activities also take place in the Multi-Purpose Room. This event is FREE and open to the public.

All Deacons and Deacons Emeritus are invited to attend the monthly gathering in the downstairs Hearth Room to discuss our ongoing efforts within our church.

Special Needs Enrichment Program (SNEP) and SibSupport

Gather together with your fellow congregants to discuss the latest and greatest news of YOUR church. Bring your fresh ideas to the table, enjoy a delicious meal, meet new friends, and have fun getting to know one another in a relaxed, Christian environment.

Bring your family and friends to celebrate the Harvest at our annual Harvest Dinner. A delicious meal of roasted turkey, ham, mashed potatoes with gravy, rolls, beverages, and assorted desserts will be provided by the church for $6 per person ($2 for children K-6) with a maximum of $18 per family. Members will provide salads and vegetables in covered dishes. Come, ye thankful people, come! RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED.


Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014 6:00 p.m.

Able-bodied, strong folks are needed to help decorate God's House for Christmas. We'll begin with a pizza dinner in the Parlor and segue into the Narthex, Sanctuary, Rotunda, and Office areas. The Floral and Decor Committee will guide us on where to hang specific items. Your assistance is greatly appreciated - and needed. Contact committee chair Joyce Deering if you have questions or concerns about helping.

Interfaith Hospitality Network Families

Week of Dec. 7-14, 2014 Fellowship Hall

Joining with area churches to provide lodging, meals, and transportation, LBC opens up its facilities to area homeless families through the Interfaith Hospitality Network. For more information, click on the link in the title.

Adults and children work together to decorate Christmas cookies that will be delivered by our Deacons to our ill and homebound members. This is a wonderful activity that brings every member of your family together for the same cause.
